Check three things in order: the filter at the bottom of the tub (twist it out, rinse the gunk), a kink in the drain hose behind the machine, and the sink connection if it was recently plumbed. Most E24s end at the filter. If it still won't drain after that, then it's likely the drain pump — and now you can tell the repairman exactly that.
